BLAST Technique

What is BLAST?

The BLAST Technique® is a fast-acting trauma therapy for PTSD and other traumatic experiences.  It was invented by world renowned psychotherapist Nick Davies.

“BLAST stands for Bi- Lateral and Stimulation treatment, Neuroscience shows that trauma can over activate the brain’s right hemisphere, so that you are still replaying it and reacting as though it is an immediate threat.”

During the session

It uses a light pen to guide eye movements, stimulating both sides of the brain to help process memories in a balanced way, allowing you to access the left, logical hemisphere of the brain.

By working mainly with the unconscious mind, it minimizes emotional distress.  The process also involves specific suggestions to help you reprocess the traumatic event, so you understand what has happened to you and have the ability to remember it, but no longer respond emotionally or physically.

Many clients feel complete or significant relief after just one session.
